Importance of Water Meter Recording to Get Correct Water Bill

As we know, proper water meter recording is important for all customers as well as the Town Management. Recording of water meters in each unit of home and industry will determine the amount of bill that will be the responsibility of the owner.

Town Management records water meters every 5 to 15 each month. Recording is important because it deals with the issuing of bills received each month. However, the team frequently found some water meter recording constraints that affect the error in recorded water meter or not recorded water meter.

Constraints are often found among water meters in a closed and locked condition. There is frequently a pile of goods above the water meter, so the meter water is closed and cannot be reached. This also causes the state of dirty water meters and difficult to record. In addition, the water meter is located inside the house, so officers cannot reach the water meter.

Therefore, the Town Management calls for some tips to the residents in order to facilitate the team to do the recording, which are:

  1. Make sure the water meter is closed and locked in a place that can still be reached. It is advisable to use a water meter cover made of glass / transparent material in a clean state.
  2. Every 5th to 15th, make sure the items that cover the water meter be removed first.
  3. Residents whose water meter is inside the house are expected to be willing to open access for the meter recorder team in order to perform the task of recording.
  4. For residents who put pets near the water meter, it is expected that on 5 to 15 each month willing to keep pets from water meters, so that the team can safely record.

We greatly appreciate the customers who pay the bills on time, as this is a form of support for the improvement of Town Management services. Therefore, it is advised to pay the bills on time, in order to avoid the sanctions of delaying.
