Hikari Japanese School Hosted International Exchange Program of Children’s Pictures 2017

Lippo Cikarang – 21 October 2017: Today, Hikari Japanese School, the first Japanese School in Cikarang, hosted an event called ‘the 2017 International Exchange Program of Children’s Pictures’, which carried a theme of  ‘My Pictures, Your Pictures’.

This event is an annual event launched since 2008 in some countries of Asean such as: Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, India, South Korea and Japan.
In 2017 was the first time this event held in Indonesia from  21th – 25th October which located at Hikari Japanese School in Cikarang, West Javajoined  by a few elementary school such as: Hikari Japanese School, Sekolah Pelita Harapan and SD Negeri (Public elementary School) Kutanegara 2. More than 300 pictures drawing creations from those school’s students were presented during the event.

Hikari Japanese School, established in May 2015 under the patronage of Pelita Harapan Education Foundation (YPPH), is the first Japanese School in Lippo Cikarang based on Japan curriculum and taught by certificated Japanese teachers.

Hikari Japanese School is availableto facilitate for more than 7,000 Japanese family who work and live in Lippo Cikarang and its surroundings. Japanese people are the biggest expatriat in Lippo Cikarang.
“As an urban development, we provide various facilities and infrastructure for the needs of community in Lippo Cikarang and surrounding areas,” Nami Sato, Head of Township Management & Japan Desk at Lippo Cikarang said in his speech.

“Hikari Japanese School offers the educational needs of Japanese children living and working especially in Lippo Cikarang and surrounding areas. For housing apartment, we also collaborate with some Japanese Corporations as Newport Park in Orange County, a joint venture project between Lippo Group and Mitsubishi Corporations.”

Nami also added that  90% of Newport Park Apartment units, with fullJapanese Collaboration,has appointed Kajima Indonesia as the contractor.

The architect and interior design of its public space is designed by Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei and Interior Designer by George Kunihiro.
The event is also presented by Yukari Sunaga spouse of the Ambassador Mission of Japan to ASEAN; Midori Matsumoto-Principal Hikari Japanese School;  Masami Yoshida an Executive Commitee at ‘Japan-Indonesia Children’s Picture Exhibition,  Gavin Neale the Head SPH Lippo Cikarang School and Samsiah Principal of SDN Kutanegara 2.

About Hikari Japanese School:

Hikari Japanese School, established in May 2015 under the patronage of YPPH, is Japan the first Japanese school in Lippo Cikarang based on Japanese curriculum and taught by certified Japanese teachers.
