Lippo Cikarang Green Program with School Nurseries
December 7, 2009 was the inauguration day of Mini Nursery Program held by Lippo Cikarang incorporated with a total of 6 schools in Lippo Cikarang area. Joining in this program are Sekolah Pelita Harapan, Sekolah Karya Iman, SKN-Anglo, Sekolah Tunas Bangsa, Sekolah International Islamic Boarding School and SD Negeri 06 Sukaresmi.
This Nursery Program is one activity to educate students in maintaining the growth of plants since the very beginning, "Through this program we want to take part in educating students by letting them undergo a set of planting processes so that they can learn to respect the environment", said Meow Chong Loh, CEO of PT Lippo Cikarang in his brief speech at Sekolah Pelita Harapan. The program is expected to become an outdoor activity of the school activities.
Schools have been giving positive response to this spirit of greening. In this event, five students from Sekolah Pelita Harapan were representing students from 5 other schools in sowing seeds. Schools has been giving commitment to also contribute in handling the treatment plant afterwards.
