Lippo Cikarang Inaugurate First Mosque ‘Masjid Lippo Cikarang’

Cikarang/ May 14th, 2018 – PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk as one of Indonesia’s largest urban development with a total development area of 3.400 hectars consist of residential, industry, and commercial areas officiated its new Lippo Cikarang, the first mosque as worship facilities to be managed by Lippo Cikarang Honarory Board (DKM), on Monday (14/5).

PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk’s Chief Excecutive Officer (CEO) Toto Bartholomeus said that “Lippo Cikarang as an urban development wants to provide the best for our residents”. He added that Masjid Lippo Cikarang could be used just in time for Ramadhan, and hope the residents will use the mosque for the first day of tarawih.

Masjid Lippo Cikarang was about of 3,500 square meters area, located at the Perumahan Taman Lembah Hijau Lippo Cikarang housing complex. The building width is around 800 square meters with the capacity of about 900 people.

Masjid Lippo Cikarang building constructions process started on January 31st, 2017 applying modern contemporary and friendly environmental concept. The modern contemporary concept design were implemented in geometrical elements – vertical and horizontal lines – as their main characteristics, added CEO of PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk. In Islamic arts, geometrical elements is a symbol of balance, the vertical line comes as a symbol relation between human and God (Hablum minallah) while the horizontal line appointed relations among human (Hablum minannas).

The environmentally considerations friendly concept is implemented in open-space construction with high ceilings. The roster that has been implemented on the wall is from natural materials which emphasize the environmentally friendly concept. The open space also symbolizes that everyone is welcome.
